About Woei Lee


Woei's leadership experience began as a Compositing Supervisor at Atomic Fiction. As the company grew, his role expanded to encompass all of 2D, becoming the Compositing Head of Department for San Francisco and Montreal. He stepped in as Compositing Supervisor on all projects as needed.


Woei spent several periods traveling frequently between San Francisco and Montreal to supervise and mentor the compositing teams at both locations. This hands-on approach ensured consistent quality and fostered the growth and development of artists across both sites.

One of my first experiences as a Digital Compositor was at The Orphanage in San Francisco, California.

Since then, I have worked with various internationally renowned studios such as Framestore, Industrial Light and Magic, Tippett Studio, Evil Eye Pictures, ImageMovers Digital, Atomic Fiction, and Method Studios. Through these roles, I have gained experience as both the Head of the Compositing Department and as a Compositing Supervisor.

I have supervised and mentored compositing teams, implementing new visions and approaches within the compositing departments at these studios.
My leadership has been instrumental in fostering innovation and excellence in the teams I have worked with.
